Mustangs Improve to 8-0 After Commanding Win Over Albany College of Pharmacy

Auburn, ME - Women's Basketball continued its unbeaten run with a dominant 78-33 victory over Albany College of Pharmacy on Sunday afternoon in Yankee Conference action. The Mustangs, now 8-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play, used stifling defense and balanced scoring to put the game out of reach early and never looked back.

CMCC forced 41 turnovers and shot a crisp 47.6 percent from the field, including 45.5 percent from three-point range. They shared the ball effectively, dishing out 21 assists and showcasing their trademark depth once again; 13 of the 15 active Mustangs entered the scoring column.

Breanna Dwyer (Gold Coast, Australia) led the way with a game-high 12 points, adding 6 steals, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in a complete performance. Josie Friend (Melbourne, Australia) contributed 11 points and 4 boards. Adora Cho led the Panthers with 8 points, who fell to 6-3 on the season.

With the Thanksgiving break on the horizon, Head Coach Andrew Morong reflected on the team's early-season grind, "We have been pushing this group really hard, both physically and mentally. We have one more practice looming before a well-deserved Thanksgiving break. We want to carry the momentum we have been slowly building into the back half of the fall semester."

The Mustangs return to action after the break, when they host Southern Maine CC on Wednesday, December 3rd at 6:00pm.
