Auburn, ME – Mustangs Esports freshman Griffin "Salad" Nichols, has qualified for the C-Main race for week one of the 2024-25 eNASCAR College iRacing Series. Nichols, an avid NASCAR fan and driver from Uxbridge, Massachusetts, is one of 120 drivers to qualify for one of the three main races run on Daytona International Speedway.

Mustangs Esports will be one of the few community colleges to compete in the race, and due to Nichols's qualification, makes Central Maine Community College one of the top 120 schools in North America for eNASCAR. Nichols's custom paint scheme is the red, white, and black Mustangs esports livery on, an appropriately chosen, Ford Mustang.

"Griffin represents the rise of Mustangs Esports on the national stage," said Esports Coordinator Andrew Garza, "He is a sign that the program is headed in the right direction, and we're looking forward to rolling into a successful 2024-25 campaign."
