The Lady Mustangs came out of the gate a bit slow this evening against the Golden Eagles of Eastern Maine Community College. EMCC was able to attack the offensive glass off and on all game to get 2nd chance opportunities, and won the rebounding advantage 52-43.
CM eventually found their grove and used an 11-0 run before end of the first half and a huge 16-0 run to start the 2nd half to put the game away. Susie French led all scorers with a game high 22 points to go with her 6 assists.
Reigning national player of the week, Maggie Sabine, had yet another double-double with 18 points and a game high 15 rebounds. Sabine also tallied 6 assists and 7 steals.
Ariel McConkey scored in double figures for the 2nd straight game, finishing with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Keaira Jackson hit two 3's off the bench.
The Lady Mustangs extended their win streak to 7 games and are now 11-2 on the year. CM travels to Amherst, MA to or row to take on Hampshire College and will end first semester action on Sunday when they host the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
