The Lady Mustangs opened the game on an 18-0 run using pressure defense and hot shooting to power past Navy Prep in their first game off the SMCC Tipoff Classic.  Constant ball pressure and wave after wave of relentless defense broke down the Rams time and time again. 

CM scored early and often scoring 64 first half points, and had 5 Lady Mustangs scoring in double digits on the game.  Junior Danielle McCusker led the Mustangs with 23 points and 7 rebounds in only 16-minutes of action.  Nohemy Aguila hit three 3's, finishing with 12 points and Susie French compiled 14 points while dishing out 8 assists.  Maggie McConkey scored 13 points and hauled down 8 rebounds, while Maggie Sabine came off the bench to score 10 points. 

Ariel McConkey played a solid floor game, scoring 6 points, dishing out 6 assists, and gathering 5 steals for the Lady Mustangs.

Navy Prep standout, Ashanti Kennedy, was constantly bothered by the CM pressure and was limited to just 7-34 shooting from the floor.

With the win CM improved to 3-0 on the season.  The Lady Mustangs are back in action tomorrow as they travel back down to the SMCC Tipoff Classic to take on annual powerhouse, Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI).
