Waterville, ME - The Mustangs finished their road trip with a 8-2 win against the Colby Mules.
They came out firing in the first period and grabbing a 2-0 lead while outshooting the Mules 20-2. Colby was able to respond in the second period making it a 4-2 game. "We let them back in the game, and our coaching staff challenged the guys to play a good 3rd period and finish the game the way we started," said Coach Jordy Knoren. The Mustangs were able to just do that, scoring 4 unanswered goals in the 3rd period, making the final score 8-2.
On Tuesday night the Mustangs will finally be able to take home-ice while facing Thomas College. Knoren commented about the upcoming home opener, "The guys are excited. They build chemistry on the road trips which is great, however they are anxious to see those Mustangs fans on Tuesday."
