Litchfield, ME – CMCC Golf finished in 3rd place overall at the UMaine Augusta Invitational hosted at The Meadows Golf Club. Brian Bilodeau had another outstanding round, finishing tied for second overall with UMA's Ryan Lai at -1 after shooting a 68. They were one stroke behind individual winner Mason Green from UMA who carded a 67.
The Mustangs top four scores produced a total of 307 (+31) to take the third spot in the six-team field. The host Moose won the event with a team score of 284 (+8) three shots ahead of Southern Maine with a 287 (+11), Central Maine, NHTI with a 331 (+55), Kennebec Valley with a 363 (+87), and Paul Smith's with a 384 (+108). Washington County also had golfers at the event but did not have the minimum four to post a team score.
Individually, Will Routhier and Bryson Mattox were behind Bilodeau, both finishing tied for 10th overall after shooting a 77 (+8). Dustin Farrington rounded out the Mustangs' scoring players after posting an 85 (+16). Gavin Lenahan rounded out CMCC's participating golfers with a 97 (+28).
The match was the first of a weekend doubleheader with Central Maine also heading to the SMCC Invitational at Purpoodock Golf Club on Sunday at 12:30 pm.
