2025-26: As a sophomore, posted a 14-0-2 record in 16 starts, captaining the squad to an undefeated season. Led the entire USCAA DII in save percentage (.879), goals against average (0.45), goals against (7), and wins (16), improving on his numbers in all four categories from last season… Started all five games in the postseason for CMCC, allowing only two goals as the Mustangs won the YSCC Tournament for the fifth straight year and the USCAA DII National Championship for the second straight season… Kept 11 clean sheets, allowing goals in only six games. Had a season-high shutout streak of 455:54 (7 hours, 35 minutes, and 54 seconds) spanning from October 10th to November 16th… Made a season-high 9 saves in a 3-2 win on the road against #2 nationally ranked SMCC on September 18th… Wrapped up his Central Maine career as the most decorated goalkeeper in program history… Also, a member of the Baseball team, winning the YSCC Tournament and being named an All-Conference Honorable Mention as a short stop and pitcher.
2024-25: As a freshman, led the entire USCAA DII country in save percentage (.876), goals against average (0.65), goals against (11), and wins (15). Posted a 15-1-1 record in 18 starts... Started all five games in the postseason for CMCC, allowing only three goals as the Mustangs won the Yankee Small College Conference Tournament and USCAA DII National Championship... Had a season-high shutout streak of 365:14 (6 hours, 5 minutes, and 14 seconds) spanning over five matches from October 11th to November 2nd... Made a season-high 12 saves twice, at SMCC on October 17th and against Johnson & Wales University-Charlotte on November 14th. Saved one penalty against the Wildcats as Central Maine won the shootout in the opening round of national tournament pool play… Also, a member of the Baseball team, being named YSCC All-Conference and winning the YSCC Tournament as an outfielder and short stop.
2023-24: Played at NCAA DIII Bridgewater College appearing in one match for the Eagles, a 2-0 win vs Wilson College where he started and made three saves.
Prior to CMCC: Graduated from Graduated from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, ME… Spent 12 years in the Seacoast United club team program moving up the age groups. Also played for Black Rock FC for three years. Picked up seven “Goalkeeper of the Week” awards with Seacoast. Won the IMG Cup Invitational in Bradenton, FL with Black Rock, as well as The Players College Showcase Tournament in Las Vegas.
Personal: Parents are Dave Cleaveland and Colleen Bennett. Has a brother, Nick Bennett.
