Zavier Roman begins his first year as a Men's Basketball Assistant Coach at CMCC in 2025-26.
Roman returns to Central Maine having played three seasons for the Mustangs from 2015-18. The Belfast High School product was part of the last men's basketball team to reach the USCAA national tournament in 2016, when CMCC finished the year 22-10. He appeared in 80 games over his three campaigns, ending his career with 136 points and 95 rebounds. The combo guard/forward helped the program to a 61-27 overall record in that span. Roman was named a USCAA Academic All-American in 2018.
Since graduating from CMCC with a degree in Criminal Justice, he has worked six years in law enforcement and is currently the School Resource Officer at nearby Lewiston High School. Roman has also stayed active in basketball, coaching training camps for youth groups in Waldo County.
