The CM Lady Mustangs opened their season with a trip to rival Southern Maine Community College on Thursday.  CM pitcher, Nicena Walker, took the mound for the complete game.  SMCC scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning and added a grand slam to make it 6-0 by the end of the third. 

CM settled down with some good defense and then the bats came alive!  CM scored 3 in the top of the 5th inning and tacked on 4 more by the end, ultimately falling 9-7 to the Seawolves. 

Ariel McConkey was credited with 4 RBI's and Walker with 2.  CM will travel back to SMCC this Sunday for double-header with game times of 1 & 3 pm.
