Team Effort leads to Mustang Victory

So. Portland, ME – Playing together and sharing the ball are the hallmarks of great mustang teams of the past. Tonight in South Portland, CM faced Holyoke Community College in non-league action and came away with a convincing 114-78 victory. The victors dished out twenty-eight assists, and on the defensive end, forced thirty-eight turnovers in an up and down contest. Rob Skinner led the way registering nine assists to go along with his nine points and six steals. Ironman Pietro Badalassi led the squad with twenty points.

The mustangs started off sloppy shooting poorly in the first eight minutes but were able to create turnover after turnover on the defensive end creating multiple scoring opportunities. Intense full court pressure took its toll on Holyoke and despite missing shots, CM was able to make a run mid-way in the first half and went to the locker room with a 60-41 advantage at halftime.

By the middle of the second half the game was in hand. All twenty mustangs entered the game and contributed.

Sheveran Hardy came off the bench and recorded fourteen points. Australian sensation Cam Duncan chipped in with ten points.
